Why I started a floor company
I spent years running the schedule for a busy company, and that's where I learned most jobs go wrong before anyone picks up a tool. I learned the floor work on other people's crews, then opened this business in 2021 as a flooring contractor in Eastern Goleta Valley, CA. We're best known for concrete coatings and the prep under them, because most floors that fail, fail at the bottom, not the top. Concrete has no interest in how nice the topcoat looks.
Homeowners here call us about garages, basements and patios, and property managers call when a floor can only close for a short stretch. I look at every floor myself
I come out to every job, check the slab and write the estimate, so the price fits the floor you actually have. Our own crew does the work after that.
Most of our time goes into prep
We put the hours into grinding and prepping the concrete, because that's what decides whether a coating stays put. A good topcoat on a bad slab is just an expensive way to peel.
We'll tell you if you need less
If your floor needs a smaller fix than the one you called about, we'll say so on the spot. Your satisfaction, guaranteed, and that starts with not selling you work you don't need.
Our license, insurance and permits
California contractor license
Fully licensed and insured. The state licensing board requires a contractor license when a project needs a building permit, uses employee labor, or totals $1,000 or more in labor and materials, and a bigger job can't be split into smaller contracts to slip under that line.
Permits through the right office
In this unincorporated area, County Planning & Development issues permits for work that alters or rebuilds a building, while some nearby addresses answer to a city or the campus instead. We check with the right office before we schedule, and if your job needs a permit, we pull it and fit the inspection into the plan.
