Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Eastern Goleta Valley Epoxy Flooring website and any estimate, service or work you ask us for. When you use this site, call us, send our contact form or accept an estimate, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us.

We're a flooring contractor in Eastern Goleta Valley, CA. You can read more about our crew and how we work on our About page, or start back on our home page.

The services we offer

We install and repair coated, polished, stained and resurfaced concrete floors for homes and businesses. That includes epoxy and polyaspartic coatings, concrete grinding and prep, sealing, overlays and pool deck work. The website describes these services in general terms so you can see what we do, but it isn't a promise that a given product or method suits your floor.

The exact work for your job is whatever your written estimate or agreement lists. If a description on the site differs from your written estimate, the estimate controls.

Estimates and pricing

We give free on-site estimates, and asking for one puts you under no obligation. We look at the floor in person because the condition of the concrete, the size of the area, moisture, old coatings and the system you choose all change the price.

An estimate is based on what we can see before work starts. Sometimes grinding or stripping uncovers cracks, moisture or old adhesive that needs more work than planned. When that happens, we'll stop, explain what we found and get your approval before doing extra work that changes the price.

Any prices on this website or given over the phone are general information only. Your price is the one in your written estimate, and an estimate is good for the period it states.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We schedule jobs in the order they're confirmed and do our best to keep the dates we give you. Coatings and sealers need the right temperature, humidity and dry concrete to cure properly, so we may move a start date when conditions would put the finish at risk.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please call us at (805) 335-8374 as early as you can. If we've already ordered materials or set aside crew time for your job, you may owe for those costs as your written agreement describes.

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area, clear it of vehicles and belongings unless we've agreed to move them, and tell us about anything we should know, such as past water problems or old coatings. Staying off a new floor until it has cured is part of getting a good result, and we'll tell you how long that is for your job.

Payment

Your written agreement sets out any deposit, when each payment is due and the ways you can pay. Payment is due on those terms once the work they cover is done.

If a payment is late, we may pause further work until it's settled, and California law may give us other ways to collect what's owed. If you have a question about an invoice, please raise it with us before the due date so we can sort it out.

Our work and warranty limits

We're fully licensed and insured, and we want you happy with your floor. If something isn't right with our workmanship, tell us and we'll come back and look at it.

Any written warranty we give you, and any warranty from a product's maker, applies only on the terms written in it. We don't cover damage from misuse, impacts, dropped or dragged heavy objects, harsh chemicals, hot tires on coatings not rated for them, standing water, moisture coming up through the slab, ground movement, or cleaning and care that goes against the instructions we give you.

Concrete is a natural material, so color, texture and small marks can vary from samples, photos and other floors. Apart from any written warranty, our services and this website are provided as they are, to the extent the law allows, without other promises that a result will suit a particular purpose.

Limits on our liability

To the extent California law allows, Eastern Goleta Valley Epoxy Flooring isn't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of a space, lost income or the cost of storing belongings. Our total responsibility for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as for harm caused by gross negligence or on purpose.

Using this website

The articles, photos and descriptions on this site are general information, not advice for your particular floor. We try to keep them accurate and current, but we can't promise every detail is complete or free of errors.

The words, photos and design of this site belong to Eastern Goleta Valley Epoxy Flooring or are used with permission. Please don't copy them for commercial use without asking us first.

Settling a disagreement

If you're unhappy with something, please call us or reach out through our contact page first, because most problems get fixed fastest with a conversation and a visit to look at the floor. We'll work with you in good faith to find a fair answer.

If we can't settle it that way, either of us may take the matter to small claims court or another court with authority over it in Santa Barbara County, California.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California, where we're based.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. A change won't alter the terms of a written agreement you've already signed with us unless we both agree to it.
